WoW Forever
Patch notes Page 3
Older WoW Forever updates, from September 24, 2026 to October 14, 2026, newest first: buffs, nerfs and changes for each class and race, with the new and changed items.
- Build 1.60.1.70374
A small client update, followed by nearly two hours of maintenance for internal tests, with no list of changes. The client itself only updates sound and graphics files, the game loader and crash reporting. Talents, spells and items did not change.
- Build 1.60.1.70338
A small client update, without a restart. It only adds three cosmetic items whose source Blizzard has not given yet: the Tabard of Eternal Exploration, the Eternal Explorer’s Backpack, worn in the cloak slot, and Azurky, a murloc companion. Talents, spells and the other items did not change.
- Build 1.60.1.70334
Blizzard restarted the realms on the evening of October 9, with only a notice in the game, for about 40 minutes. The client itself only updates crash reporting, the game loader and graphics files. Talents, spells and items did not change. Since then testers report a WowB_loader.dll error, which goes away once the file is renamed and the launcher downloads it again. The bag sort button, gone since October 8, is still missing: typing /click BagItemAutoSortButton in the chat sorts the bags.
- Build 1.60.1.70291
From Blizzard’s notes:
- The City of Dalaran dungeon opens.
- Monsters in dungeons give about 20% more experience, and each player now earns a kill’s experience by their own level.
- Warriors and Druids gain more Rage from taking damage, after several fixes.
- Critical strikes against players are no longer reduced.
- Every tester gets the Legacy Challenge (16 Legacy points), and the cheapest Legacy reset costs 1 silver.
- The first ranks of several caster spells are reworked so each new rank is an upgrade.
- You can again swap several weapons within one global cooldown.
- A creature that dropped nothing can be interacted with as in Classic.
- The Cooldown Manager supports every class.
Found in the game:
- Resurrecting at the Spirit Healer costs 25% durability, was 50%.
WarriorArms

HunterGeneral
Pets: A bug no longer makes them regain health over and over when their health is low.

Disengage: Now removes twice as much threat, as intended.
Entrapment: Now has diminishing returns and only triggers when Frost Trap first goes off.
PriestDiscipline
Penance: Brought in line with other strong spells with a cooldown: it was treated as a 3 sec channel instead of 2 sec. Rank 1 now deals 45 damage or heals 134 per volley, was 81 or 184, for 150 mana, was 100, with 19% of spell power per volley, was 28.5%. Every rank deals and heals less (rank 4: 92 damage or 425 healing per volley, was 131 or 673), and ranks 2 and 4 also cost more mana.
Holy
Lesser Heal: Ranks 2 and 3 heal about 15% more (rank 3: 157 to 181, was 138 to 160).

Flametongue Totem: Uses a shapeshifted target’s attack speed instead of its weapon’s.
Restoration
Mana Tide Totem: Shows its pulse again.
Water Shield: Its tooltip no longer shows a 15 sec cooldown: it never had one. Its buff now shows the mana it restores.
MageArcane
Arcane Missiles: Ranks 2 and 3 hit about 6% harder (rank 3: 49 per second, was 46).
Fire
Impact: Can no longer trigger from Flamestrike’s damage over time.

What Blizzard said too3 known issues, 3 from the developers
Known issues
Skyborne druids’ Cat Form, some creatures on Zephras Isle and some mounts and pets still wait for their new textures. forum
Hunters with the Ferocity talent do not see their pet’s critical strike chance rise on the character sheet. Only the display is wrong. forum
Some icons in the Professions window look broken. forum
From the developers
Blizzard had balanced Rage for 50% armor, right for a tank but not for a warrior out questing. It is now balanced for 20 to 40% armor depending on level. forum
A druid’s form must stay visible in combat: only effects with another use, such as Noggenfogger Elixir’s underwater breathing, still change it. forum
As before, no one in a group earns experience when a member is far above the enemy’s level. forum
- Build 1.60.1.70245
Blizzard restarted the realms for “priority fixes”: quest items that should be restocked in a chest but had gone missing, a bug that could sometimes disconnect you on an elevator or a transport, and an error when joining or leaving a guild. The client itself only updates crash reporting and the game loader. Talents, spells and items did not change.
- Build 1.60.1.70235
Blizzard restarted the realms “to apply some fixes”, without saying which. Players report that the Auction House of the PvP 2 realm, closed since October 4, works again, and that the friends list has a new look, with new tabs. The client itself only updates crash reporting and the game loader. Talents, spells and items did not change.
- Build 1.60.1.70205
A small fix: a talent’s tooltip now shows in full the first time you point at it, and whispering a player whose name has accented or non-Latin letters works better. The rest is crash reporting, the game loader and graphics files. Talents, spells and items did not change.
- Build 1.60.1.70170
The level cap rises to 30. The Excavation Site opens in the Wetlands (levels 26 to 31), and Razorfen Downs (25+) and Uldaman (30+) join the dungeons already open. Blizzard’s notes also announce: half the bonus experience from dungeon quests, PvP gear costing about 50% more Honor, with the cap raised to 25,000, 100% more Rage from a warrior’s critical strikes (75% for bears), Aggressive mode back for hunter and warlock pets, and barbershops in Darnassus and Thunder Bluff. Last, a BoE item whose appearance you have not collected can no longer go to your other characters once sold to a vendor.
Completed on October 2: Blizzard added a second warrior pass to its notes, in the Warrior list below: the Fury and Protection trees are rearranged, and Rage from critical strikes goes from 75 to 100%. forum

Announcements
In a later week of the beta, every tester gets 16 Legacy points, kept until the end of the beta, to try the system without levelling several classes or clearing dungeons. forum
Blizzard keeps closing the accounts that bot for gold or buy it, and the game will soon warn you when you trade with a stranger. forum
From the developers
Aidan Moon explained on X that a bug in the warrior’s Rage had skewed their tests, and gave the new numbers: 100% more Rage on critical strikes, 50% more off-hand Rage from Dual Wield Specialization. X
A spell cast at a rank far below your level gets less from your spell damage and healing, and triggers class talents less often: a rank 1 Frostbolt at level 60 never triggers Frostbite. The character sheet now says so. forum
