About the data
ForeverChanges compares WoW Forever with Classic: talents, spells, items, dungeons, quests, professions and the map. Most of the data is read straight from the game files.
Where it comes from
- The Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70658), through wago.tools: talents, spellbooks, items, recipes, gathering, Legacy, racials and the world map.
- Hotfixes. Between builds, Blizzard also changes talents and items on its servers. Raidbots collects the game cache from many players, so those changes show up here without waiting for the next build. It is also where the stats of the items Blizzard is hiding appear.
- The Classic Era client (build 1.15.9.69722) for everything on the Classic side.
- AtlasLootClassic for what Classic bosses drop and how often. For Forever, what players have seen drop in the beta.
- Crowdsourced data via our addon: drops, vendors, trainers, quests and NPCs as its players see them in game.
- Blizzard: patch notes, blue posts, BlizzCon panels and official articles.
- Players: beta videos, streams and reports, credited on the pages that use them.
- The new dungeons’ maps, drawn by Santiago Reyes. The older dungeons use the game’s own maps.
The rankings in the BiS lists and the advice in the guides are our own picks.
How it stays current
Every new beta build is read again for talents, spells, items and professions, and the patch notes show what changed. Items also follow Raidbots’ cache several times a day.
Tooltip numbers are base values, without talents, gear or level scaling. A ? means the client doesn’t give the value.
