The Shieldsmith

A level 22 quest for the Alliance, from level 20.

Unchanged in Forever as far as is known: the text, objectives and rewards below are Classic’s.

Quest Objectives

Bring the Cask of Scalder to Furen Longbeard.

Cask of Scalder

Provided: Cask of Scalder

Description

You really showed what you were made of when you ran the Rethban Gauntlet, ‹name›. And I'm true to my word. I'll get you the reward I promised...

Except it's in Stormwind.

Talk to my friend, Furen Longbeard, in the Dwarven District of Stormwind. He's the best shieldsmith you'll ever meet, and he owes me a big favor.

Here, take Furen this cask of Barleybrew Scalder and ask him for a shield. He'll give you a nice one.

Rewards

You will receive:

Furen's Favor

Experience: 440

When you come back

Hello! Dry times, don't you think?

When you hand it in

Ah, Barleybrew Scalder. Great stuff! So you've been to see Yorus, eh?

I can get you a shield, yes sir/ma'am! You won't find a better one, and that's no lying!
