Wounded Ancients

A level 28 quest for the Alliance, from level 22.

Unchanged in Forever as far as is known: the text, objectives and rewards below are Classic’s.

Quest Objectives

Bring a piece of Corroded Shrapnel to Kaela Shadowspear in Stonetalon.

Corroded ShrapnelBlackened Ancient 20%, Charred Ancient 20%, Vengeful Ancient 20%

Description

It seems obvious to me that the protectors of the Vale--the treants--had something to do with the Venture Co. being driven back. Unfortunately, even those once great guardians have now become corrupt.

Gaxim thinks their corruption is somehow linked to the weapons the goblins used during their retreat.

I told him I'd collect a sample from a wounded treant and allow him to study it in order to figure out if that's true.

Bring me some of the shrapnel so the gnome can tell me more...

Rewards

Money: 250 gold, 25 silver, 0 copperExperience: 2,300

+100 reputation with Darnassus

When you come back

I have a feeling Gaxim will find a use for the shrapnel regardless of how the Venture Co. has used it in the past.

When you hand it in

Thank you, ‹name›.

This should be more than sufficient for Gaxim to figure out how the treants were corrupted. I shall give this to him right away.
